Taisuke Maruyama(Group Manager, Lubrication Life Prediction Project Leader, Ph.D., Enjineering)
Dr. Taisuke Maruyama has been working as a research engineer at the Core Technology R&D Center of NSK Ltd. since 2004. He earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering from Kyushu University and obtained a Ph.D. from Yokohama National University. His research fields include elastohydrodynamic lubrication, lubrication condition monitoring, and fretting wear. He received the Best Paper Award from the Japanese Society of Tribologists in 2013 and 2021. Since 2023, he has been seconded from NSK Ltd. to the NSK Tribology Collaborative Research Cluster (N-TRIBO) established at Institute of Science Tokyo, where he leads a research group as a group manager in a laboratory focused on clarifying the lubrication mechanisms of rolling bearings.
